Complex backgrounds are extra.
Derek will travel to your office or home to discuss elements of
the painting such as: Desired mood, color preferences, clothing,
background (indoor or outdoor setting), size of canvas, and setting in
which the portrait painting will hang. Derek will take many photographs, working up to one hour. Then review with client immediately to determine a few possibilities; or even decide on the final photograph. A contract will be signed and in keeping with standard portrait professional practices,a non-refundable deposit of 50% is paid. Meeting you, the photo shoot, reviewing the photographs and creating color samples can be completed within the day. From Derek’s studio in Baltimore; once thephotograph has been selected, the painting will be completed.
